Before Blue Collar Bagels ever opened its doors at 1809 2nd Ave, our story began with a deep appreciation for two things: the grit of the Quad Cities and the timeless art of traditional baking. Founded by Patrick Fineran, a veteran of the local grocery and produce industry, this shop was built from the ground up out of a passion for perfecting the humble bagel.

What started as home-kitchen experiments quickly grew into a bigger dream. When it came time to name the shop, the choice was obvious. Blue Collar Bagels is a direct salute to the hard-working, resilient history of the community we call home.

We believe that doing things the right way means doing them the hard way. That is why you won't find any shortcuts, pre-made mixes, or frozen dough in our kitchen. Every single bagel we serve is proudly scratch-made, hand-rolled, boiled, and baked fresh daily.
